Dipping, roller-coating or wiping - these are the three methods the coating units of Hinterkopf work with. Harmonised with your needs, the coating units can seamlessly be integrated into any production line.
Dip coating units
In the dip coating units the steel roller scoops the lacquer from the coating enamel tray, the doctor roller wipes off the excessive material. Then, the lacquer is applied on the coater roller and from there onto the tube or can. Dip coating units are multifunctional for various containers and coating enamels, for two-component lacquers as well.
Roller coating units
In the roller coating unit, the lacquer flows directly between the steel roller and doctor roller so that excessive lacquer is squeezed-off immediately. Roller coating units are ideal for processing mat lacquers.
Wiper coating units
The wiper coating unit works much like a dip coating unit. However, here a wiper is in charge of wiping off the excessive lacquer from the steel roller. This technique is used for pasty lacquers.
Anilox coating units
A technically sophisticated special feature is coating with an Anilox coating unit. The Anilox roller has got engraved cups that carry the lacquer. Then a wiper removes the remaining lacquer. With the Hinterkopf Anilox coating unit you will reach a very high production speed.
New generation of Hinterkopf-coating units
Hinterkopf has improved again considerably the new generation of coating units. Basically, all plates of the coating units are first nickel-plated and then coated with Teflon. This Novotech-Nifloor coating makes cleaning much easier.
You now modify the lacquer thickness continuously by fine and coarse adjustment, just like the immersion depth of the dipping roller. You can also regrind the steel and coater rollers continuously owing to the new belt drive.
