The can making and filling industry gathered in Guangzhou (China) between May 15-18, 2018, to attend the fourth Cannex & Fillex congress and trade show. Hinterkopf was represented with a 36m² booth to showcase various innovations. About 200 exhibitors and in excess of 10,000 attendees set the impressive stage for a record crowd.

Visitors were particularly interested in the new digital printing machine D240.2. This is the newest generation digital printer, based on the original D240 which was introduced by Hinterkopf in 2014 as the world’s first digital printing machine for metal and plastic containers. The newest generation D240.2 allows for even greater accuracy in the decoration of tubes, aerosol cans, bottles, cartridges and other cylindrical hollow bodies made from aluminium, steel or plastic. In addition, the new machine comes with a more compact size and more intense colors at lower ink consumption.

One of the impressive highlights were specially designed and decorated sample beverage cans. These cans, produced on the day right before the trade show by BAOWU Steel of China, made a strong impression with highest print quality and intense colors.

Additional highlights of the show included the transfer machine H240 as well as the necking machine N50.3. With its 50 stations, necking machine N50.3 opens new possibilities in the shaping of aluminum cans and bottles.

The direct interaction with our customers and suppliers is always a highlight for us on any industry event.
